I'm not one to knock on anyone's parade...how you live is how you live. But when it just becomes ridiculous and your actions show that you are just bored and don't really know what to do with your money...i have to comment lol
Jermaine Dupri is an entrepreneur...J. Jackson's man..and So SO Def's CEO...i couldn't even tell you the last time i heard a worthy song from So So...but that's besides the point ;)
This video is all about the resources hip hop artists waste...i'm not saying that taking a tour bus to AllStar Weekend was a bad idea..I'd be down too..i love basketball..let alone A/S Weekend..i guess i was just disappointed because boasting about how much money you have to just throw around in a city such as New Orleans where families are still picking up the pieces just shocked me. Almost the same shock if not more when I read how Lil Wayne and Baby weren't going to put money into the city until Donald Trump invested :O
Their dedication to us, their fans...is null and that's why i COPY/download Lil Wayne freestyles ha ha but honestly...this saddens me. I just wish their was more of an authentic approach in reciprocity from some well known hip hop artists...like some other celebrities have shown, and not only to N.O., but to their community as a whole.
I love hip hop...i do. I love Black people..i just want more from hip hop and i want more from Black people...
Nas: Street Dreams....one of my favorites.

he said, "they got a tour bus and they aint even on tour"...of course yall aint on tour, SoSo Def aint made a hit since slavery days...
ha ha ha word!
and when he gets shot and/or jacked i suppose we are supposed to feel sorry for him huh? Not that I'm wishing that on anybody, but damn - he put so much energy into showing people how many bags he has and what's in them, when people are struggling to fill a grocery bag. we don't need to see the shower in your tour bus or the sheets you sleep on dude. we, the people who put that money in your louie bag, need help.
my appreciation for limewire just grew tenfold.
the materialism of the hip hop community..elle, i agree with you. I can't and honestly won't feel sorry when they get jacked for showcasing their "bling" in a way that's offensive...they don't realize how many people follow and watch them..just waiting for their slip-ups!
ha ha, we sound like we're plotting..Dead Presidents?? :) lol
he he...well if the opportunity arose...
and i don't think i would feel guilty you know. they are feeding us garbage and taking our (well, technically, not mine) money - so jacking them would be like getting a refund.
...yea, an aggressive refund :-)
ha ha ha i love it! an aggressive refund :)
well in that case...let me know where, when and who we're jackin first ;)
I agree totally. First of all Jermaine needs to grow up. Hes been gettin $ for a minute now, Why is he actin like new $. I expect this rom the young rappers that are gettin thier first taste of real $ (ie:Soulja Boy) but Jermaine should be ashamed of himself. Put some of whats in your:louie-Bag" back into the hands of the people instead of rubbin i thier faces, in thier city. And they wonder why theese rappers keep gettin robbed! You wave a piece of meat in front of someone starvin to death and it wil get snatched! Grow up JD!!!!!

i agree...new money is always their first taste of having the world at their fingertips...can you blame them?? JD..doesn't have new money lol he just isn't wise and he likes to show off..but with a mentality like his and his pockets full...what can you REALLY expect??
sad...thanks for your comment!
